Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has an overall score of 58.5, which is just a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 8's 54.1 general score. Although it's the best tablet device we compare here, Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s construction is much older, a lot thicker and just a bit heavier than Amazon Fire HD 8. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has the previous 4.1 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Amazon Fire HD 8 counts with a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have 1 GB of RAM memory, the Amazon Fire HD 8 also has more processing cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a little sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it has a lot worse 600 x 1024 resolution, a quite worse pixels number in each inch of display and a bit smaller display.

Amazon Fire HD 8 has a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has 8 GB more internal memory and a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 128 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) captures better photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it has a lot worse 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and a camera in the back with a way worse resolution.

In addition to being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing here, Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is also a lot cheaper, which makes it an easy decision.
