Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is way better than Amazon Fire HD 8, having a overall score of 75.2 against 54.1. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has the older 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's construction is a little thinner than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it's just a little heavier and was released only 21 months before.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a greater performance than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has a graphics processing unit and a greater amount of RAM. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a quite bigger display, a much better resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a lot greater display pixels density.

Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 shoots greater photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has a back-facing camera with way more mega-pixels. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has more storage capacity to install applications and games than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8.

Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is way more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
