Comparison review
The iPad mini is much better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), getting a 68.1 score against 58.6. IPad mini's construction is incredibly thinner and somewhat lighter than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). IPad mini works with iOS 8.x OS, and Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) comes with Android 9.0 Pie OS. The Apple iPad mini features a bit better screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it has a little worse screen density, a bit lower resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels and a little smaller display.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a much greater memory for games and applications than iPad mini, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that holds up to 1000 GB. The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) counts with a little better performance than iPad mini, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with more RAM and more cpu cores.
The Apple iPad mini shoots way better photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a way higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a lot better resolution back facing camera. IPad mini counts with a superior battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).
Although Apple iPad mini is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Apple iPad mini, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), resigning some features and specifications.
