Comparison review
IPad 3 has a score of 67.7, which is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's 66.3 general score. IPad 3 is a better portable tablet than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, we must highlight that it is also way older, way heavier and thicker. The iPad 3 works with iOS 7.x OS, and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 works with Android 4.4 OS.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a bit better looking screen than iPad 3, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better pixels count per inch in the screen and a slightly better 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution. Apple iPad 3 has a much bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has more internal storage capacity.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a more powerful processing unit than Apple iPad 3, because it has 2 more CPU cores and a higher amount of RAM memory. Apple iPad 3 features a much better camera than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a back camera with lot less mega-pixels, a worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for low light photos and video.
