Comparison review
The iPad 3 is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, having a global score of 71.1 against 67.9. Despite being the best we are comparing here, it must be told that it's also a incredibly older, somewhat thicker and notably heavier tablet. IPad 3 comes with iOS 7.x operating system, while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 operating system.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a slightly better display than iPad 3, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better screen pixel density and a quite better 1600 x 2560 resolution. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a quite better performance than Apple iPad 3, because it has a higher number of cores (and faster) and a larger amount of RAM.
The Apple iPad 3 captures better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for low light images, a worse 1920x1080 video definition and a lot less megapixels back-facing camera.
