The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 67.9, which is a little bit better than iPad 2's 62.1 overall score. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 works with Android 4.4 operating system, while iPad 2 comes with iOS 7.x operating system. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's design is extremely newer, thinner and noticeably lighter than iPad 2.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much more vibrant display than Apple iPad 2, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px and a lot better pixel density. IPad 2 counts with as much storage to install games and applications as the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 one, both have the same internal memory capacity.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a greater hardware performance than iPad 2, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores and 1,5 GB more RAM. Apple iPad 2 counts with a way better battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than iPad 2, because it has a larger diafragm aperture, a way higher 1920x1080 video quality and a back-facing camera with way more megapixels.
Even being the best tablet in our comparison, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is also the cheapest one.
