Google Nexus 7 has an overall score of 59.3, which is a little bit better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE's general score of 55.7. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but Google Nexus 7 has a more recent 5.1 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE has Android 4.0 version, so it gives you a lot of extra features and better performance. Google Nexus 7's design is thicker but much lighter than the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, and both were only released 2 months apart.
