Both tablets in this comparison review include Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE has Android 4.0 version, so it provides you a couple additional features. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's design is newer, lighter and somewhat thinner than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE.
