Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a general score of 75.8, which is a lot better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's global score of 60.8. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014)'s construction is heavier but somewhat thinner than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and both were only released 1 months apart. Both tablets in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has newer 4.4.2 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2, providing a couple additional features.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014)'s processing unit is very similar to Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's processor, and although the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a greater amount of RAM memory, they both have a 450 megahertz graphics co-processor and 4 cores. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a little bit better looking display than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), because although it has a much smaller display and a lot lower 1200 x 1920 resolution, it also counts with a little bit greater pixels density.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features just a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory.
