The Apple iPad mini 2 has a global score of 77.1, which is much better than the iPad 2's 58.6 global score. Both tablets in this comparison review work with iOS OS, but the Apple iPad mini 2 has a newer 8.x version and iPad 2 has iOS 7.x version. The Apple iPad mini 2 is a newer tablet, and it's also somewhat thinner and noticeably lighter than iPad 2.
IPad mini 2 features a superior processing power than Apple iPad 2, and although they both have a Dual-Core CPU, the iPad mini 2 also has a higher amount of RAM memory, a faster 600 MHz graphics processor and a 64 bits CPU. The Apple iPad mini 2 features an incredibly better looking screen than iPad 2, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1536 x 2048 resolution and a lot better pixels amount per inch of display.
