Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 2 is a bit better than the Apple iPad 2, having a 63.4 score against 62.1. The Microsoft Surface 2 construction is way newer than Apple iPad 2's, but it is just a bit thicker and a little bit heavier. The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with Windows RT 8.1 OS, and Apple iPad 2 counts with iOS 7.x OS.
Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Apple iPad 2, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and a larger number of cores. The Microsoft Surface 2 features a sharper screen than iPad 2, because it has a way higher 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, a lot greater pixels amount per screen inch and a quite larger display.
Microsoft Surface 2's storage to install games and applications is very similar to the iPad 2 one, both of them have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity. The iPad 2 takes a bit better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a way lower video definition and a lot lower resolution camera.
The iPad 2 features a really longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface 2.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Apple iPad 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Apple iPad 2.
