Apple iPad 2 has a global score of 62.1, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s 60.7 score. The Apple iPad 2 is an older and noticeably heavier tablet than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), but Apple made it thinner anyway. Apple iPad 2 works with iOS 7.x operating system, while Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) comes with Android 4.1 operating system.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a better display than iPad 2, because although it has a way smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels, it also counts with a better number of pixels per inch of display. The iPad 2 has a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have a Dual-Core CPU, the iPad 2 also counts with an additional GPU.
Apple iPad 2 has just a bit bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. Apple iPad 2 features a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 6944mAh battery size against 4000mAh.
Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) captures clearer videos and photos than iPad 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video resolution, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has a camera with way more mega-pixels.
Although iPad 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the iPad 2, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), letting go a couple specs and features.
