Comparison review
The Apple iPad 2 is a bit better than the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, getting a overall score of 62.1 against 57.5. The Apple iPad 2 works with iOS 7.x operating system, and GALAXY Tab 3 Kids comes with Android 4.1 operating system. Apple iPad 2 is a way older and noticeably heavier tablet than the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, but Apple was able to make it somewhat thinner anyway.
The GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has a much better looking screen than iPad 2, because although it has a way smaller display and a little lower resolution of 600 x 1024px, it also counts with a greater pixels number per screen inch. IPad 2 features a bit superior processing unit than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because although it has 512 MB less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the iPad 2 also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.
The Apple iPad 2 features a much bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 56 GB more internal storage. Apple iPad 2 has a really longer battery performance than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has 6944mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
The Apple iPad 2 has a bit better camera than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, although it has a lot less megapixels resolution back camera.
Although Apple iPad 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as GALAXY Tab 3 Kids. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
