The iPad Air is just a bit better than iPad 3, having a overall score of 77.9 against 71.1. The iPad Air is a newer tablet, and it's also way lighter and thinner than iPad 3. Both tablets we are comparing here work with iOS OS (operating system), but iPad Air has a newer 8.x version while iPad 3 has iOS 6.1 version.
