Comparison review
The iPad Air is a little bit better than Apple iPad 3, having a score of 77.7 against 71.1. The iPad Air is a newer tablet device, and it is also way lighter and somewhat thinner than the Apple iPad 3. These devices include iOS operating system, but iPad Air has a more recent 8.x version while Apple iPad 3 has iOS 6.1 version.
The iPad Air has a quite superior processing power than iPad 3, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM and a Dual-Core processing unit, the iPad Air also has a 64-bits processing unit and a GPU. Apple iPad Air features a little bit better display than iPad 3. They have the same screen pixels density, an equal 1536 x 2048 resolution and a display with the same size.
Apple iPad Air features much more memory capacity to install games and applications than iPad 3, because it has 128 GB internal memory. Apple iPad 3 has improved battery duration than iPad Air, because it has 11560mAh of battery capacity. The iPad Air has just a bit better camera than iPad 3. They have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, a F2.4 camera aperture, the same resolution back facing camera and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate.
Even being the best tablet in our current comparison, iPad Air is also cheaper.
