Comparison review
The iPad 3 has a general score of 71.1, which is slightly better than the iPad mini's score of 68.1. Both of these tablets use iOS OS, but the iPad 3 has the older 6.1 version and iPad mini has iOS 8.x version. Although it's the best in this review, iPad 3 is a noticeably thicker and notably heavier portable tablet than iPad mini.
IPad mini counts with a bit faster CPU than iPad 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the iPad mini also counts with a graphics processor. IPad 3 counts with a sharper display than iPad mini, because it has a way higher 1536 x 2048 resolution, a bigger display and way more pixels per inch in the display.
Apple iPad mini captures just a bit better photos and videos than iPad 3. Both of them have the same camera aperture, the same 30 fps video frame rates, the same resolution camera and the same (Full HD) video definition. The iPad 3 and the iPad mini both have extremely similar memory to install applications and games, they have the same internal storage capacity.
The Apple iPad 3 counts with a very superior battery performance than iPad mini, because it has 11560mAh of battery capacity instead of 4440mAh.
The iPad 3 costs a bit more than Apple iPad mini, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
