IPad 3 is slightly better than the Galaxy Note 8.0, getting a 71.1 score against 69.2. IPad 3 counts with iOS 6.1 OS, while Galaxy Note 8.0 works with Android 4.4.2 OS. IPad 3 is an older, thicker and way heavier device than the Galaxy Note 8.0. Galaxy Note 8.0 features a quite better hardware performance than iPad 3, because it has a higher number of cores , 1 GB more RAM memory and an extra GPU.
Apple iPad 3 features a more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a way better 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution, a greater screen pixel density and a bigger screen. The iPad 3 captures much better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have a same resolution back camera, the iPad 3 also has a lot higher (Full HD) video resolution.
IPad 3 counts with much more storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. IPad 3 is a little more expensive than Galaxy Note 8.0, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
