IPad 3 is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, with a overall score of 71.1 against 66.2. IPad 3 has iOS 6.1 operating system, while Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 comes with Android 4.4.2 operating system. Although it's the best in this comparison review, iPad 3's construction is much older, incredibly heavier and somewhat thicker than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0.
The iPad 3 has just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels, a bigger screen and more pixels per inch in the screen. Apple iPad 3 features a way bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a little bit better hardware performance than iPad 3, because it has more RAM, an extra graphics processor and more cpu cores. Apple iPad 3 counts with a very superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has 11560mAh of battery capacity against 4450mAh.
Apple iPad 3 counts with a very superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a way higher video resolution and a way more megapixels camera in the back.
Although iPad 3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
