The iPad 3 is a newer and extremely thinner tablet device than the Samsung Galaxy Tab, although it's heavier. IPad 3 works with iOS 6.1 OS, while Samsung Galaxy Tab works with Android 2.3.3 OS. The Apple iPad 3 has a much better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a way bigger screen, a lot better resolution of 1536 x 2048 and a way higher display pixel density.
The iPad 3 features a superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 32 GB more internal storage.
