Comparison review
The iPad Air has a global score of 72.6, which is slightly better than the Apple iPad 3's 71.1 global score. IPad Air's body is newer, notably lighter and thinner than the Apple iPad 3. Both tablets we compare here use iOS OS (Operating System), but the iPad Air has 8.x version while Apple iPad 3 has iOS 7.x version, counting with some additional features and optimized performance.
The iPad Air features a little bit better screen than iPad 3. They have an equal resolution of 1536 x 2048, a greater number of pixels per inch of screen and a screen with the same size. IPad 3 features a lot bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than iPad Air, because it has 48 GB more internal storage.
The Apple iPad Air features a superior hardware performance than iPad 3, and although they both have 1 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores, the Apple iPad Air also has an extra graphics co-processor and a 64-bit CPU. Apple iPad 3 features superior battery duration than iPad Air, because it has a 31% greater battery capacity.
The iPad Air features a slightly better camera than Apple iPad 3. Both have the same 30 fps video frame rates, the same aperture, the same resolution camera and the same (Full HD) video resolution.
Despite of being the best tablet in this comparison, iPad Air is also very cheap compared to the other tablets.
