The Apple iPad Air 2 is much better than the iPad, having a global score of 77.1 against 45.9. Both tablets we are comparing have iOS OS (operating system), but Apple iPad Air 2 has the newer 8.x version and iPad has iOS 5.1. Apple iPad Air 2's design is newer, thinner and lighter than iPad. The Apple iPad Air 2 counts with a much more vibrant screen than iPad, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Apple iPad Air 2 also has a lot higher 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution and a way higher screen pixel density.
The Apple iPad Air 2 counts with a better performing CPU than Apple iPad, and although they both have 1 CPU cores, the Apple iPad Air 2 also has a 64-bits processor and more RAM.
