Comparison review
The iPad 4 has a general score of 70.8, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's overall score of 66.2. Despite being the best tablet device in this comparison review, iPad 4's design is thicker and way heavier than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. IPad 4 has iOS 7.x operating system, and Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 works with Android 4.4.2 operating system.
The iPad 4 has a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a higher screen pixels density, a larger display and a way higher resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels. Apple iPad 4 features a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage capacity.
Apple iPad 4 counts with a little faster CPU than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, although it has less CPU cores , 512 MB lesser RAM and a worse 400 MHz GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a way better battery duration than Apple iPad 4. The Apple iPad 4 takes much better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a lot higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a camera with a much better 5 mega pixels resolution.
Although iPad 4 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. So if you need that extra features, you can buy iPad 4, else you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, resigning a couple specifications.
