IPad Air is much better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, with a 77.9 score against 67.9. IPad Air has iOS 8.x operating system, and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with Android 4.4 operating system. The iPad Air design has the same thickness than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but it is way heavier. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit sharper display than iPad Air, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a greater pixel number in each inch in the display and a slightly higher 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution.
The iPad Air has a much greater storage for apps and games than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has 128 GB internal memory. IPad Air counts with a bit faster CPU than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has 2 lesser and slower cpu cores and less RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics processor and a 64-bit CPU.
