Comparison review
The iPad 10.2-inch has a general score of 79.3, which is just a bit better than the Apple iPad Air's 77.9 global score. The iPad 10.2-inch construction is much newer and a little thinner, but also just a little bit heavier than the Apple iPad Air. IPad Air features a bit better screen than iPad 10.2-inch, although it has a little smaller display, a little bit lower 1536 x 2048 resolution and a just a bit less pixels per inch of display.
IPad 10.2-inch and iPad Air count with extremely similar memory for applications, games, photos and videos, they have equal internal memory capacity. The iPad 10.2-inch's CPU is very similar to the Apple iPad Air one, because although the iPad 10.2-inch has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor and a 32-bits processor against 64-bits, it also counts with a higher number of cores and 2 GB more RAM memory.
The iPad 10.2-inch shoots a little bit better photos and videos than iPad Air, and although they both have a same size aperture, the same 1920x1080 video quality and the same video frame rates, the iPad 10.2-inch also has a way higher 8 MP resolution back-facing camera. The Apple iPad 10.2-inch has a battery life that is very similar to the iPad Air one, although the Apple iPad 10.2-inch also has a 0 percent greater battery capacity.
Although iPad 10.2-inch is a better device, it costs a lot more money than iPad Air, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as iPad Air. If you want to save some dollars, you can get iPad Air, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your savings.
