Comparison review
Apple iPad Air is better than the iPad 9.7-inch, having a general score of 77.9 against 65.4. The Apple iPad Air has the same weight and thickness than the iPad 9.7-inch. Both tablets in this review include iOS OS (Operating System), but Apple iPad Air has a newer 8.x version while iPad 9.7-inch has iOS 13.x version, giving a lot of extra features and increased performance.
The Apple iPad Air features a bit more powerful processor than Apple iPad 9.7-inch, because although it has 1 GB less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Apple iPad Air also counts with a 64-bits CPU and an extra GPU. IPad Air features a sharper display than iPad 9.7-inch. They have the same quantity of pixels in each inch of display, exactly the same resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and a display with the same size.
Apple iPad Air features a much better storage capacity for apps and games than iPad 9.7-inch. The Apple iPad 9.7-inch has a battery lifetime that's just as good as iPad Air's battery duration, although the Apple iPad 9.7-inch also has an 8827mAh battery size against 8820mAh. The iPad 9.7-inch takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Apple iPad Air, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the same video frame rate and the same diafragm aperture, the iPad 9.7-inch also has a back facing camera with much more megapixels.
Apple iPad Air is more expensive than Apple iPad 9.7-inch, but you can get a better tablet for that extra dollars.
