IPad mini (2019) is much better than the iPad Air, getting a general score of 85.9 against 77.9. IPad mini (2019) is a noticeably newer tablet, and it is also notably thinner and way lighter than the iPad Air. IPad mini (2019) has iPadOS 13.x OS, while iPad Air has iOS 8.x OS. The Apple iPad Air features a slightly better display than Apple iPad mini (2019), because although it has a little bit worse pixel density, and they both have exactly the same 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution, the Apple iPad Air also counts with a bigger display.
IPad mini (2019) counts with a more powerful CPU than Apple iPad Air, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, and they both have a 64-bits CPU, the iPad mini (2019) also counts with 2 GB more RAM and more cores. IPad mini (2019) counts with a superior memory for applications and games than iPad Air, because it has 128 GB more internal memory capacity.
