Comparison review
IPad Air is slightly better than iPad mini 3, having a 77.9 score against 77.5. IPad Air's design has the same thickness than the iPad mini 3, but it's noticeably heavier. Both tablets in this review have the same iOS 8.x OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding operating system features.
The iPad Air counts with a little better processing power than iPad mini 3. Both have 1 GB of RAM memory, 2 processing cores, a 64-bit processing unit and a 600 megahertz graphics processor. The iPad mini 3 has just a bit better looking screen than iPad Air, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution, the iPad mini 3 also counts with a bit greater amount of pixels in each inch in the display.
Apple iPad mini 3's camera is just as good as the Apple iPad Air one, both have the same video quality, a back camera with a 5 megapixels resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same aperture. The iPad mini 3 features as much memory for apps and games as the iPad Air one, both have equal internal storage capacity.
The Apple iPad Air has a really longer battery performance than iPad mini 3, because it has 8820mAh of battery capacity.
Even being the best tablet in our current comparison, the iPad Air is also by far the cheapest one, which makes it very easy to pick between these devices.
