The iPad mini 3 has just a bit better looking screen than iPad Air, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution, the iPad mini 3 also counts with a bit greater amount of pixels in each inch in the display.
Apple iPad mini 3's camera is just as good as the Apple iPad Air one, both have the same video quality, a back camera with a 5 megapixels resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same aperture.
