The iPad Pro has a general score of 79.5, which is a bit better than the Apple iPad Air's global score of 77.9. These tablets come with iOS OS, but the iPad Pro has a newer 9.x version and Apple iPad Air has iOS 8.x version. The iPad Pro construction is newer and just a little bit thinner, but heavier than Apple iPad Air.
The iPad Air features a bit more powerful processor than Apple iPad Pro, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with more CPU cores , a 64-bits processing unit and a graphics processing unit. IPad Air and Apple iPad Pro have incredibly similar screens, although the Apple iPad Pro also has a much bigger screen, a better 2732 x 2048 resolution and a little more pixels per inch in the display.
The Apple iPad Pro counts with as much memory capacity for apps and games as Apple iPad Air, they have equal internal storage. IPad Pro takes a little bit better videos and photos than iPad Air, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, a F2.4 camera aperture and the same video frame rate, the iPad Pro also has a camera with a much better resolution.
IPad Pro has superior battery performance than Apple iPad Air, because it has a 10307mAh battery capacity against 8820mAh.
Although Apple iPad Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than iPad Air, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the iPad Air. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the iPad Air, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
