Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch has a global score of 89.8, which is better than the iPad Air's 77.9 overall score. Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch is a newer and a little thinner tablet than iPad Air, but it's also a lot heavier. The Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch has a little faster processor than iPad Air, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit and a 32-bits processing unit instead of 64-bits, it also counts with 3 GB more RAM and more processing cores.
The iPad Air counts with a little more vivid display than iPad Pro 12.9-inch, although it has a lot lower resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels, a little bit lower pixels quantity in each screen inch and a much smaller display. The Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch has a much better camera than iPad Air, because it has a much bigger camera aperture, a much higher 3840x2160 video definition and a way more mega-pixels camera.
The iPad Pro 12.9-inch has much more memory capacity to install applications and games than iPad Air, because it has 512 GB internal storage. The Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch has improved battery performance than iPad Air, because it has 10891mAh of battery capacity against 8820mAh.
Although iPad Pro 12.9-inch is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Apple iPad Air, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Apple iPad Air. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the iPad Pro 12.9-inch, else you can save some dollars and get the Apple iPad Air, giving up a couple specs and features.
