Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is slightly better than the iPad Air, having an 82.4 score against 77.9. Even though the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is much newer than the iPad Air, it's a little thicker and way heavier. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has Windows 10 Pro operating system, while iPad Air comes with iOS 8.x operating system.
Apple iPad Air has a little faster processor than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Dual-Core CPU, the Apple iPad Air also counts with a 64 bits CPU and a graphics co-processor. The iPad Air counts with a better display than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), although it has a little bit lower amount of pixels per display inch, a really smaller screen and a way worse 1536 x 2048 resolution.
IPad Air shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), although it has a much less MP back camera and a worse 1920x1080 video resolution. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has much more memory capacity for games and applications than iPad Air, because it has 872 GB more internal storage capacity.
The iPad Air features a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017).
Although Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a better device, it costs a lot more than iPad Air, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as iPad Air. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), else you can save a couple dollars and buy the iPad Air, giving up some features and specs.
