Although it's the best we are comparing here, Apple iPad Air's construction is extremely older, notably heavier and a little bit thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020). Apple iPad Air has iOS 8.x OS, and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) comes with Android 9.0 Pie OS.
The iPad Air features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and less and slower processing cores, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit and a 64-bit CPU. Apple iPad Air counts with a much better looking screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), because although it has a just a bit less pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1536 x 2048px and a bigger display.
