The iPad Air has an overall score of 77.9, which is much better than Galaxy Tab A 9.7's 60.5 overall score. The iPad Air works with iOS 8.x OS, and Galaxy Tab A 9.7 works with Android 7.1 Nougat OS. IPad Air's design is older, just a bit heavier and just a little bit thicker than Galaxy Tab A 9.7. Apple iPad Air counts with a superior performance than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has less processing cores (although faster) and 512 MB less RAM memory, it also counts with a 64-bits processor and a graphics processing unit.
Apple iPad Air features a way better looking display than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and although they both have a same size screen, the Apple iPad Air also has a much higher resolution of 1536 x 2048px and much more pixels per inch in the screen. IPad Air counts with a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
The iPad Air counts with a superior battery performance than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has 8820mAh of battery capacity instead of 6000mAh. IPad Air takes way better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and although they both have a 5 mega-pixels camera, the iPad Air also has a way better video definition.
IPad Air is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, but you can get a much better tablet for that few extra dollars.
