Comparison review
The iPad Air has an overall score of 77.9, which is a bit better than Galaxy Tab S 8.4's overall score of 74.5. Although the iPad Air is a better tablet than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, we must note that it is also a thicker and much heavier tablet. IPad Air counts with iOS 8.x operating system, while Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 operating system.
The Apple iPad Air has a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has a lower number of cores and they are also slower and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a graphics processor and a 64 bits processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has just a bit better screen than iPad Air, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit higher 2560 x 1600 resolution and more pixels per inch in the screen.
The Apple iPad Air counts with a very superior memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal memory. The iPad Air has a much longer battery performance than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has an 8820mAh battery capacity.
The iPad Air has a little bit better camera than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, although it has a worse 1920x1080 video resolution and a back camera with lot less MP.
Although Apple iPad Air is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
