Galaxy Tab S4 is a bit better than iPad Air, with a 78.8 score against 77.9. Galaxy Tab S4's body is way newer and just a little thinner than iPad Air's, although it is just a little bit heavier. IPad Air has a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy Tab S4, although it has a quite lower 1536 x 2048 resolution, a little bit smaller screen and a bit less pixels per inch in the display.
The Galaxy Tab S4 counts with a quite bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than iPad Air, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that holds up to 400 GB. The Apple iPad Air and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 have quite similar processing units, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has a 32-bits processor against 64-bits and doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with 6 more cpu cores and 3 GB more RAM memory.
IPad Air has better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, because it has an 8820mAh battery capacity instead of 7300mAh. Galaxy Tab S4 counts with a lot better camera than iPad Air, because it has a lot bigger aperture for better images and videos in low light environments, a lot better 3840x2160 video resolution and a lot more MP camera in the back.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is a better device, it is a little more expensive than Apple iPad Air, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Apple iPad Air. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Apple iPad Air, giving up a couple specs and features.
