The iPad Air 2 has a general score of 79.3, which is a lot better than the iPad 3's 64.7 global score. Both of these tablets have iOS OS (Operating System), but iPad Air 2 has newer 8.x version and iPad 3 has iOS 7.x, so it provides the user a couple additional features. IPad Air 2's construction is extremely newer, noticeably thinner and extremely lighter than iPad 3.
IPad Air 2 has a little more vivid display than iPad 3. Both have the same count of pixels in each display inch, a display with the same size and an equal resolution of 2048 x 1536px. Apple iPad Air 2 counts with a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Apple iPad 3, because it has more internal storage.
IPad Air 2 features a better CPU than iPad 3, because although it has an inferior number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with more RAM and a 64-bit CPU. IPad Air 2 captures clearer photographs and videos than Apple iPad 3, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video definition, a same size aperture and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the iPad Air 2 also has a much higher resolution back camera.
IPad 3 features a much longer battery duration than iPad Air 2, because it has 11560mAh of battery capacity.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing here, iPad Air 2 is also the cheapest, making this tablet a very good choice.
