Comparison review
The iPad Air 2 has a global score of 74.2, which is a little bit better than iPad Air's 73.9 global score. Both devices in this review come with the same iOS 8.x OS (Operating System), so both of them should give identical operating system features. The iPad Air 2 is a newer tablet device, and it is also just a little lighter and incredibly thinner than iPad Air.
Apple iPad Air 2 counts with a screen that is very similar to iPad Air's screen, they have the same exact resolution of 2048 x 1536px, the same display density and a screen with the same size. The iPad Air counts with a much greater storage to install games and applications than iPad Air 2, because it has 32 GB internal storage.
The iPad Air counts with a bit more powerful CPU than iPad Air 2, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a 64 bits CPU, the iPad Air also counts with more cores and a graphics co-processor. IPad Air 2 captures clearer videos and photos than iPad Air, and although they both have a F2.4 aperture, the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same video frame rate, the iPad Air 2 also has a camera in the back with a way better resolution.
IPad Air features improved battery performance than Apple iPad Air 2, because it has an 8820mAh battery size instead of 7340mAh.
Although Apple iPad Air 2 is a better device, it costs a bit more money than the Apple iPad Air, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Apple iPad Air. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Apple iPad Air 2, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Apple iPad Air, giving up a couple features and specifications.
