The iPad mini 3 has a general score of 77.5, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's 75.2 overall score. IPad mini 3 has iOS 8.x OS, and Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 OS. The iPad mini 3 is a newer tablet than the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, but it is a bit thicker and a little bit heavier.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a bit better screen than iPad mini 3, because it has a little bit higher 2560 x 1600 resolution, a just a little better pixel density and a quite larger screen. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with just a little better processing power than Apple iPad mini 3, because although it has a 32-bits processing unit instead of 64-bits and a weaker GPU working at 450 megahertz, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and a larger number of cores.
IPad mini 3 takes clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, although it has a camera with way less mega pixels and a worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition. IPad mini 3 has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal storage.

Although Apple iPad mini 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Apple iPad mini 3, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, resigning a couple features and specs.
