IPad mini 4 has a global score of 75.6, which is much better than Asus VivoTab Smart's score of 58.7. IPad mini 4's construction is incredibly thinner and notably lighter than Asus VivoTab Smart. IPad mini 4 works with iOS 9.x OS, and Asus VivoTab Smart comes with Windows 8 OS. Asus VivoTab Smart counts with a bit better hardware performance than Apple iPad mini 4, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM, the Asus VivoTab Smart also has a graphics processor and a larger number of cores.
IPad mini 4 features a lot better looking screen than Asus VivoTab Smart, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a much better resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and a much higher screen density. The iPad mini 4 shoots better photos and videos than Asus VivoTab Smart, although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for shooting images or videos in poorly lited environments, they both have the same video frame rate, the same resolution back-facing camera and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality.
IPad mini 4 counts with a much bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus VivoTab Smart, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. IPad mini 4 has a much longer battery lifetime than Asus VivoTab Smart.
Even being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing, the iPad mini 4 is also cheaper.
