Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is just a bit better than iPad mini, with a general score of 72.2 against 68.1. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while iPad mini comes with iOS 8.x operating system. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a incredibly thicker and notably heavier tablet than the iPad mini.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features just a bit better looking display than Apple iPad mini, because it has a way better 1440 x 2160 resolution, a much larger screen and a higher pixel amount in each inch in the display. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a bit better processing unit than iPad mini, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, and they both have 2 CPU cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also counts with a larger amount of RAM.
The Apple iPad mini captures greater photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Both of them have the same video frame rate, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a same resolution back-facing camera. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a way bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than iPad mini, because it has 512 GB internal storage capacity.
