Apple iPad mini is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, having a overall score of 68.1 against 66.3. Apple iPad mini comes with iOS 8.x operating system, while Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with Android 4.4 operating system. Apple iPad mini's body is noticeably lighter and thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 features a bit better hardware performance than iPad mini, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM and a larger number of cores (and also faster). IPad mini features a little bit better looking display than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 768 x 1024 and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better display density.
IPad mini takes way better videos and photos than Galaxy Note 10.1, and although they both have a back facing camera with a 5 mega pixels, the iPad mini also has a much higher 1920x1080 video definition. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a bigger storage for games and applications than iPad mini, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 also has a SD memory slot that allows a maximum of 32 GB.
Galaxy Note 10.1 has a really longer battery lifetime than iPad mini, because it has a 58% more battery size.
Despite of being the best tablet in our current comparison, the iPad mini is also very cheap compared to the other ones, making this tablet an obvious call.
