Comparison review
The iPad mini 2 is much better than Apple iPad mini, having a score of 73.2 against 66.3. These tablets use the same iOS 8.x operating system, so you shouldn't see any differences regarding OS features. Even being the best tablet in our current comparison, the iPad mini 2 design is just a bit thicker and a little bit heavier than Apple iPad mini.
The iPad mini 2 features a more powerful processor than Apple iPad mini, and although they both have a Dual-Core processor, the iPad mini 2 also has a 64 bits processor, a much better graphics co-processor working at 600 megahertz and a greater amount of RAM memory. The iPad mini 2 has a much better screen than iPad mini, and although they both have a same size screen, the iPad mini 2 also has a lot higher 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution and much more pixels per inch in the display.
Apple iPad mini 2 counts with a camera that is very similar to iPad mini's camera, they have the same video frame rate, a same size aperture, a same resolution camera and the same 1920x1080 video resolution. The Apple iPad mini 2 and Apple iPad mini both have very similar storage for applications and games, both have the same 32 GB internal memory.
The iPad mini 2 features a much longer battery lifetime than iPad mini, because it has 6471mAh of battery capacity instead of 4440mAh.
