Comparison review
IPad Pro 10.5-inch is much better than Apple iPad mini 4, getting an 88.9 score against 75.6. The iPad Pro 10.5-inch body has the same thickness than Apple iPad mini 4, but it's notably heavier. The Apple iPad mini 4 has just a bit better looking display than iPad Pro 10.5-inch, because although it has a much smaller display and a quite lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, it also counts with a just a little higher pixel amount per display inch.
IPad Pro 10.5-inch has a better performing CPU than iPad mini 4, because it has 2 GB more RAM and a higher number of faster cores. The iPad Pro 10.5-inch shoots much better pictures and videos than Apple iPad mini 4, because it has a much better (4K) video resolution, a back camera with way more megapixels and a lot larger camera aperture.
IPad Pro 10.5-inch has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than iPad mini 4, because it has more internal memory capacity. IPad Pro 10.5-inch features a much longer battery life than Apple iPad mini 4, because it has 8134mAh of battery capacity instead of 5124mAh.
Although Apple iPad Pro 10.5-inch is a better device, it costs a lot more than Apple iPad mini 4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Apple iPad mini 4. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Apple iPad mini 4, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
