Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ has an overall score of 43.3, which is a little bit better than the iPod touch 2nd generation's 40.5 score. Even though the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ is a lot newer than the iPod touch 2nd generation, it is much heavier and noticeably thicker. Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ works with Android 4.0 OS, while iPod touch 2nd generation has iOS 2.x OS.

The Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ features a much better processing power than iPod touch 2nd generation, because it has an additional GPU, more RAM and 2 more processing cores. Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ features a much sharper display than iPod touch 2nd generation, because it has a lot bigger display, a much better number of pixels per screen inch and a much better 1280 x 1920 resolution.

The Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ has a much better memory to store more apps and games than Apple iPod touch 2nd generation, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ also has an external SD slot that allows up to 32 GB. Barnes & Noble Nook HD+'s camera is just as good as iPod touch 2nd generation's camera.

The iPod touch 2nd generation has a much better battery life than Barnes & Noble Nook HD+.

Despite of being the best tablet in our current comparison, the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ is also cheap compared to the iPod touch 2nd generation, which makes it an easy choice.
