Comparison review
The iPod Touch 5th Generation is just a bit better than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, getting a general score of 62.7 against 62.3. The iPod Touch 5th Generation design is noticeably lighter and somewhat thinner than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. IPod Touch 5th Generation comes with iOS 7.x operating system, and Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 works with Android 4.4 operating system.
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features a better performance than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a better GPU running at 700 megahertz, 1,5 GB more RAM memory and more cores. Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has a screen that is very similar to Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation's screen, because although the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has a just a little worse pixels density, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1920 x 1200px and a much bigger screen.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. Both of them have the same resolution back camera. The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation has a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory.
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features a really longer battery duration than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a 4060mAh battery capacity.
Although iPod Touch 5th Generation is a better device, it is a little more expensive than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the iPod Touch 5th Generation, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, giving up a couple specs and features.
