IPad 3 has a general score of 69.5, which is much better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation's 62.7 global score. Both of these tablets use the same iOS 7.x OS, so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding that. Even being the best we compare here, iPad 3 is a much thicker and notably heavier tablet than iPod Touch 5th Generation.
The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with a bit better processing power than iPad 3, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation also counts with a graphics processor.
