Comparison review
The Apple iPad Air has a score of 77.9, which is way better than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation's global score of 62.7. The Apple iPad Air body is newer, but way heavier and a lot thicker than the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation. Both tablets in this comparison review work with iOS OS (operating system), but Apple iPad Air has newer 8.x version while Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x version.
The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation features a little sharper screen than iPad Air, because although it has a much smaller display and a lot lower 1136 x 640px resolution, it also counts with a just a little better pixels density. The iPad Air has a superior memory to install applications and games than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has more internal memory capacity.
The iPad Air features a better hardware performance than iPod Touch 5th Generation, and although they both have 2 cores, the iPad Air also has a better graphics processing unit, a 64 bits processor and a greater amount of RAM memory. IPad Air features a way better battery lifetime than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has 8820mAh of battery capacity instead of 1030mAh.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation and the iPad Air both count with incredibly similar cameras, they have the same camera aperture, the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the same video frame rates and the same resolution camera in the back.
The iPad Air is a little more expensive than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
