Comparison review
Apple iPad mini is a bit better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, having a general score of 68.1 against 62.7. Even being the best we are comparing, Apple iPad mini's body is somewhat thicker and heavier than the iPod Touch 5th Generation. Both devices in our current comparison work with iOS OS, but Apple iPad mini has a newer 8.x version while iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x version, providing a couple nice extra features and better performance.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation has a sharper display than Apple iPad mini, because although it has a way smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels, it also counts with a way better pixel quantity per inch in the screen. The Apple iPad mini counts with as much memory capacity for apps and games as the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, both of them have the same internal memory capacity.
IPad mini's processing unit is just as good as Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation's CPU, they have a 400 megahertz graphics processor, a 512 MB RAM and the same number of cores. IPad mini has a much better battery life than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a 4440mAh battery size against 1030mAh.
IPad mini has a camera that is just as good as iPod Touch 5th Generation's camera, both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, a 5 MP camera, the same diafragm aperture and the same 30 fps video frame rate.
IPad mini costs a bit more than iPod Touch 5th Generation, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
