The iPod Touch 5th Generation is slightly better than the Google Nexus 7, having a 62.7 score against 59.3. IPod Touch 5th Generation works with iOS 7.x operating system, and Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1 operating system. IPod Touch 5th Generation's body is way lighter and incredibly thinner than the Google Nexus 7, even though they were only released with a couple months difference.
The Google Nexus 7 has just a little better hardware performance than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a faster graphics processor, more RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores. The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with a little bit better looking display than Google Nexus 7, because although it has a lot smaller display and a little lower 1136 x 640 resolution, it also counts with a much greater display density.
The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with a very superior camera than Google Nexus 7. IPod Touch 5th Generation features much more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Google Nexus 7, because it has more internal memory. The Google Nexus 7 features a very superior battery performance than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a 4325mAh battery size instead of 1030mAh.
Although Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Google Nexus 7. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Google Nexus 7, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
