The Google Nexus 7 is just a bit better than Asus Fonepad 8, having a 59.3 score against 55.6. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but the Google Nexus 7 has the newer 5.1 version while Asus Fonepad 8 has Android 4.4 version, so it offers a couple nice extra features and performance improvements. Google Nexus 7 is a somewhat thicker and a bit heavier portable tablet than Asus Fonepad 8.
The Asus Fonepad 8 has a little better processing power than Google Nexus 7, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Asus Fonepad 8 also counts with more RAM memory. Google Nexus 7 features a bit better looking screen than Asus Fonepad 8, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution, the Google Nexus 7 also counts with a just a little better quantity of pixels in each inch in the display.
Asus Fonepad 8 has a much better camera than Google Nexus 7. The Asus Fonepad 8 features just a bit more memory for games and applications than Google Nexus 7, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB. Google Nexus 7 has a way better battery lifetime than Asus Fonepad 8.
Despite of being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, Google Nexus 7 is also a bit cheaper.
