The Google Nexus 7 is just a bit better than the Asus Fonepad 8, getting a 57.1 score against 55.6. Even being the best tablet in this review, Google Nexus 7 is a thicker and a bit heavier tablet than Asus Fonepad 8. Both of these tablets include Android OS, but the Google Nexus 7 has newer 5.1 version and Asus Fonepad 8 has Android 4.4.
Asus Fonepad 8 features a bit superior CPU than Google Nexus 7, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Asus Fonepad 8 also counts with 1 GB more RAM memory. Google Nexus 7 has a bit more vivid display than Asus Fonepad 8, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Google Nexus 7 also counts with a little higher amount of pixels in each inch of screen.
The Asus Fonepad 8 has a way better camera than Google Nexus 7. Asus Fonepad 8 counts with much more storage for games and applications than Google Nexus 7, because it has 16 GB internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 64 GB. Google Nexus 7 features a much longer battery duration than Asus Fonepad 8.
Google Nexus 7 costs a bit more money than the Asus Fonepad 8, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
